About me

I'm an art enthusiast that has dabbled in art one way or another since primary school. I didn't attend a proper art school, so most of the things I know I learned through trial and error, either on my own or seeking advice (and courses) online. At university I studied art history which made me used to expressing myself through words and eventually led me to combining sketchbooking/art journaling with writing. The journey wasn't all that easy and, as most creatives can be, I was susceptible to art block. I found ways around it which caused my outlook on creativity to change – in a good way. I started valuing the creative process more and got really interested in its psycological benefits, which led me to create this blog. I want to explore the backstage of all those amazing artworks we're so used to seeing – be it old masters or contemporary artists. I want to combine knowledge I've gained from personal experience and from experts on the field and share my findings and observations.
